Erde & Plastik (2023) is an artistic research and performance of choreographer and circus artist Verena Schneider, we performed twice a one shot performance; circus, sound and dance. We performed in Austria in Innsbruck and Vienna.

MEDIATION
As an artist Iris has been and is part of several social mediation projects, in a coordinating, communicating, performing and transmission role.
La Traverse (2025/2026) is a collective experience of a slow-motion walk across a square, created by the company Jeanne Simone. Participants are prepared during a weekend of somatic and dance workshops for the performance.

Parade (2023/2024) of Mer Plastique, created by choreographer Tidiani N’Diaye and coordinated for the TU Nantes and Théatre de la Ville in Paris by Iris Gravemaker in collaboration with the company Copier Coller. It is a participative performance in which participants create their own waste costumes and later on dance in them in the streets of Nantes and Paris.

CONTACT IMPROVISATION
One of Iris’ ever continuing practices is Contact Improvisation. She thus transmits the practice through workshops, but also co-organises events and gatherings.

CALB collective is a research collective carried by La Mèche that gathers 8 people investigating on how to close the generation gap between different generations of contact improvisation practitioners. We gather two times a year to exchange about our practices and to collectively bond.
